I was excited to learn that I placed in the top five in the one-page summary contest conducted by the fabulous editor of the Buried in the Slush Pile blog for my "Brain Invaders" entry (a middle grade mystery/thriller). The contest was fun and it gave me hope that this manuscript will one day be in the hands of a middle-grader and/or reluctant reader. ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon. Actually, the Brain Invaders is completed. That's the one-page summary that won. I'm about 20,000 words into my WIP. That's where the recent dialogue snippets are from. I'm having tons of fun with this newest ms, which includes a parallel universe, teens with special gifts, good vs. bad, and of course a love story. Can't wait to see where my characters lead me. I'm hanging on, along for the ride.
