"Don't fear failure so much that you refuse to try new things. The saddest summary of a life contains three descriptions: could have, might have, and should have." Louis E. Boone
In case you missed it, a column I wrote about failing.
Thanks for your visit, Sharon. I need these quotes myself lately. Feeling a little down with constant rejections.
Came across this quote: “Some of us think holding on makes us strong; but sometimes it is letting go.” --Herman Hesse
There’s power and strength in letting go, but realizing that things will never be what we had hoped they would be can be heartbreaking. Are there times when we should quit? Times when we should let go and move on? Times when dreams remain just dreams? I wonder. Have any thoughts?
Do successful people quit? I read somewhere that successful people are quitters. They quit those things they aren't good at to focus on the things they excel at. But how do we know if we are good enough? That's the million-dollar question. Anyway, much too philosophical this afternoon.
You all are so sweet to stop by every day and keep my spirit soaring.
This quote is tragically true. I hope to never look back and feel regret of fear holding me back in life. Thanks for some inspiration this morning!

Great quote. I hope like Marissa that I don't look back on life and found I let fear stop me.
ReplyDeleteBuffy,
ReplyDeleteI always stop by for your Quote of the Day. I can count on them to start my day with the right kind of attitude and focus.
PS: Your word verification hates me. It always takes me 2 tries, and I *swear* I'm entering the right letters. I think it's lying to me.
Marissa, Nat and Dianne, I always look forward to your comments. Thanks for being loyal followers on my blog. It means the world to me.
ReplyDeleteWonderful quotes! I'm off to read your column. :)
