A minute list

Let’s play a game of Finish the Sentence. I’ll write the first half of the sentence and you copy it into comments and write the rest of it.
1. I opened the door …

ie. I opened the door and found a baby wrapped in a blanket inside a cardboard box.

  4. I love it when you do these posts! Fun!
    1. I opened the door and there stood a young girl with matted hair and ragged clothing.
    2. The boat was sinking and all I could think of was, where are my diamond earrings.
    3. John reached for Marissa and she pulled away in disgust.
    4. Tom rolled on the floor with the giant rat.
    5. Becca heard a scream from the bathroom.
    ie. I opened the door and found a baby wrapped in a blanket inside a cardboard box.

  5. Super,Sharon. I'm dying to know about the girl. Did she escape from being held a prisoner? Is she homeless? And why were you so worried about your diamond earrings? Were they your great-great-great-grandmother's? And why is Marissa mad at John. Could it be he cheat on her? And good Lord, where did the giant rat come from? YUK! And what's happening in the bathroom. All of these sentences make me want to read on to see what happens.

  6. 1...then stood with mouth agape as I saw how he'd changed in half a century.

    2)... but Matty had hold of the remote control and managed to slowly ease it back to the lakeside before it was swallowed by the water.

    3)... and with his free hand gave her the exquisitely wrapped gift.

    4)... and then jumped up quickly, tightening his black judo belt at the same time.

    5) ...and saw her room mate stare in the mirror at the raging zit on her nose blazing like a beacon.

  7. Ooh, Ann Marie. I like the half a century thing. Like was he MIA in the war or what? Nice. And liked that you had the boat being a remote control one! And the zit. That is so teen. I always hated zits. You always think that they are huge with blinking lights and that everyone will stare at your face when in fact it's not that big and no one really notices or cares. Thanks so much for sharing.
