Quote of the day

"Successful writers are not the ones who write the best sentences. They are the ones who keep writing. They are the ones who discover what is most important and strangest and most pleasurable in themselves, and keep believing in the value of their work, despite the difficulties."
-- Bonnie Friedman

  1. That is oh so true. I am about to finish a recent novel by a highly acclaimed, very successful and wealthy author, whom I never before read and I am somewhat surprised by the triteness of the work. But this guy is successful because he keeps cranking out the goods. When you do that, sometimes you hit and sometimes you may miss, but at least you're working and bringing home the groceries.
