  1. No. She already read and declined. Onward, right? I'm having so much fun writing Grandma's letters. As I said, when this ms first went out, the advice was just one-liners. But I'm finding that the letters tell us so much about Grandma and Ella and their relationship. They really help to round out the characters. And you know what, Sharon? First and foremost I am writing this book for myself. I need to remember that. I would love to share it with others and have them love it as much as I do. But if that's not meant to be, then I think I've written something that I can be proud of. Make sense? Thank you for your endless support and encouragement. I am really hoping that 2010 brings some good news on the literary front. Blessings...

  3. When you do write your query letter make sure you show the sentiment, in your paragraph about your ms, that you express so beautifully on your blog. I expect to hear you've nabbed an agent some day soon. :)

  4. Thanks Sharon. I keep trying. Maybe the ms isn't sexy enough or edgy enough for YA. Maybe it's more younger teen or adult? Or maybe women's fiction. There's has to be some place right for it, right? But thank you so much for your encouragement. I really need it these days.
