Quote of the day

"The faster I write the better my output. If I'm going slow I'm in trouble. It means I'm pushing the words instead of being pulled by them."
--Raymond Chandler
Are you pushing or being pulled or a little of both? Please share.

  1. I'm less productive when I'm being pulled...If I feel like I have other chores that must be done, my writing time is usually what suffers. :(

  2. I am less productive when being pulled--if I am forcing the idea out. It has to flow for me and if it doesn't feel like my writing time is flowing quickly, I have to stop and re-group.

  3. Most of the time the words just flow out of me. Interestingly enough, I feel like I've been pushing on this latest MG.I think I need to figure some things out so that I'm being pulled again. Uugh!

  4. I have to work hard honestly. I think it's because part of me is dying to get it right the first time and so I'm doing it to myself. I need to hurdle that mental block.
